VGA Teaser Trailers

I actually missed the VGA's on Saturday night, unfortunately I had to attend my graduation ceremony instead. So I missed all the juicy teaser trailers for the upcoming titles, specifically Mass Effect 3, Elder Scrolls V and Batman Arkham City. Happily they were all uploaded to Gametrailers, allowing me to conveniently embed them below:

Mass Effect 3

Mass Effect looks suitably epic in scale. The big reveal here is the fact that the ME universe will finally allow us to fight on the surface of Earth, the closest we have come so far is the side mission on the Moon in ME1. Regardless of what the trailer showed, this was a pre-order for me, with ME1 and 2 under my belt I have to know how it ends.

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

I wouldn't describe myself as a huge Elder Scrolls fan, I  enjoyed Morrowind and had fun with Oblivion despite it's many technical issues. That being said, these titles have never been day 1 purchases for me, perhaps Skyrim will be a first in that regard.... it's too early to say yet though.

Batman: Arkham City

Arkham Asylum wasn't a day 1 purchase for me either, it's generally considered a surprise hit by the gaming community. I picked it up a couple of months after release and was extremely impressed. This is what a Batman game should feel like, and if Arkham City can maintain the momentum generated by the first, this should be a sure thing.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution
The trailer that has me most excited though, actually wasn't a VGA exclusive:  Deus Ex Human Revolution.

This one looks incredible. I, like many others, was somewhat disappointed in Deus Ex Invisible War, because it abandoned many of the gameplay elements that made the original such a classic. This one however, this looks like a true sequel to Deus Ex, the atmosphere looks to be spot on. Once they firm up a release date, this one will most definitely be a pre-order for me.
